Mario Galaxy
Firstly, I will say I am heavily biased towards Mario Galaxy in general. I have loved the franchise since it first came out. So yeah, it will affect this review a bit but I will be as fair as I can be. Playing this game, I had a lot of fun with the games mechanics and the gravity feature of course is great. The OST is incredible and probably the best soundtracks in Nintendo's history in general. It's so good that people wanna charge 80 DOLLARS FOR THE CD ON EBAY. Anyways, movement in the game feels very nice although it can feel a little bit limiting sometimes due to the nature of Nintendo just stripping some of Mario's movement for this adventure, which I can understand. The levels are fun too! I had a blast with a ton of them, even the ones prople usually hate, like surfing the manta-ray in my opinion isn't too bad once you get the hang of it. My only issue really is how some of the galaxies feel like a CHORE. I mean this more for the comet star levels, most of them do feel more like filler than they actually are, I just don't find a lot of them fun. It's not even that the difficulty is too much, but they just feel like a SLOG, it's even worse if you want to 200% complete it doing the whole game again as Luigi. Idk to me it's just annoying to do those stars over again. This is primarily the reason as to why i'm giving Galaxy a 9.5. However on a lighter note, the vibe of Galaxy is unparalled, the music along with the cold feel of space is just amazing.
